Nova National Christmas Tree Run — Thursday, December 11, 08.

In keeping with the NOVA tradition, the National Christmas Tree run will go on from 1235 E Street, SE. Washington DC 20003, the Hart’s residence.
Come and get in the Holiday Spirit!

First, we’ll run to the Capitol Tree, (this leg is 3 miles total out and back) then, if you want a longer run, to the National Tree, total of approximately 6 miles...very easy pace...
Back in the house for a post-run little cozy party.  Prizes to the best Christmas Hats!.

As usual, please bring something to share for the party and bring a friend.

Directions to the Hart’s

From South I395 going to DC, proceed across the 14th Street Bridge staying in the right lane, turn Right at Independence Street (Holocaust Museum will be to your left right before the mall).... Continue straight on Independence, past the Capitol (on your left).

As soon as you have passed the Capitol, you're on Capitol Hill, SE.  That will be 1st St, then 2nd St, now suddenly Independence veers to the left as the center lane turns into Pennsylvania Ave, you should stay in the middle lane to continue STRAIGHT ON Pennsylvania… continue straight until you get to 12th St.

Turn Left on 12th to the very next corner Stop sign (that is E street and there is a CVS drugstore on the corner).  Make an immediate right on E Street and start looking for parking on either side of the street. The house is ½ block from the corner. 
Look for the hanging running shoes on the gate.

The house is also METRO accessible: Get off at the Eastern Market Metro Stop (at 8th St), proceed straight up the escalator and continue straight on Penn Ave, 4 blocks, to 12th St. Then proceed as above.

A note to our New Members: the Christmas tree run is a great place to meet club members and its officers, so show up and say hello!
