Daniel Wallace

Dan is a native of Arlington. He has been a member of the NOVA RC since 1993 and he served as President in 1996.

Dan’s running career started as a high school sophomore and he has been running ever since. He raced every distance from the Mile Relay to the Marathon. By the time Dan became more serious about running he was running a 10K in 32:17, 10 Miles in 52:17 and a Marathon in 2:40.18. His favorite race is the Alexandria Turkey Trot, which he has raced every year since 1993 except 2005, when he was deployed.

Today, Dan is experimenting with Triathlons but uses NOVA as the foundation for his running fitness.

He has a BA from George Mason University, a BS from the University of Maryland University College and an MS from Marymount University. Dan is currently employed by Northrop Grumman as a System Analyst on a government IT project in Washington, D.C.

Additionally, he also serves as an Army Reservist and is a veteran of Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Dan is an active race volunteer and wants to give back to the running community, which has done so much for him. He loves to compete and train but finds “volunteering” as fulfilling as “competing”.

Dan resides in Alexandria with his wife Barb Fallon, a physical therapist and a fellow competitive runner.
